ST. LOUIS - Missouri State swimming & diving had 14 student-athletes named to this season's Missouri Valley Conference Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete team, the league announced Friday morning.

The senior from Chanhassen, Minnesota turned a top finish in the 500 free prelim (4:26.69) in the morning into a gold-medal swim with a career-best time of 4:25.06 in the final. Nixon Aquatic Center. The combination of George Holesinger, Jack Grandy, Reese Hodgins and Brunno Suzuki-Tomiyama shattered the previous championship record held by Evansville (6:41.41) with a time of 6:24.61.

RICHMOND, Va. - Both Missouri State men's & women's swimming & diving teams have been named a Fall 2024 Scholar All-America Team by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Monday.

OMAHA, Neb. - The Missouri State diving team concluded its two-day stay at the Omaha Diving Invite on Saturday following a strong showing on Friday.

SPRINGFIELD - The Missouri State diving team will set off for the Omaha Diving Invite starting Friday evening (Jan. 31) and concluding Saturday afternoon (Feb. 1). This will be the first time the diving Bears have competed in a meet independent from the swimming team since the 2019 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships.

ST. LOUIS - Missouri State men's swimming & diving won two Missouri Valley Conference weekly honors following its win against UIC in the Bears' final home meet of the season. Luigi Maciel da Silva was named MVC Men's Swimmer of the Week while Carter Crook was named the MVC Freshman of the Week. The respective awards mark the first weekly Valley honor in each swimmer's career.

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State swimming & diving swept its two-day dual meet with conference foe UIC while celebrating its five seniors on Saturday for the Bears' final meet at Hammons Student Center Pool this season. The women's team defeated the Flames, 251.5-98.5, while the men's team took down UIC, 214-139.

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State swimming & diving opened the first day of its final home meet of the season with a strong performance against the UIC Flames on Friday at Hammons Student Center Pool. Heading into the final day of the meet tomorrow, the Missouri State women lead UIC, 128-56, while the men lead their dual, 125-61.

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State swimming & diving returns to Hammons Student Center Pool one last time in the 2024-25 season with a two-day meet against Missouri Valley Conference foe UIC starting on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and resuming Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Event results from both days can be followed on Meet Mobile.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri State women's swimming & diving split its tri-dual meet against Missouri and McKendree to open the 2025 portion of the season. The women's team defeated McKendree, 204-87, while dropping its contest with Mizzou, 232-67. The men's team dropped both its head-to-head battles with a loss to last year's Division II fourth-place finishing Bearcats, 191-102, and last year's Division I 27th-place Tigers, 228-66.

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State swimming & diving will ring in the 2025 portion of its season with two days of competition against host Mizzou and McKendree on Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18 at Mizzou Aquatic Center in Columbia. Friday's meet will consist of exhibition events and will not be scored. Saturday's meet will be an official tri-dual with each team putting up a distinctive score against their two opponents.

LOUIS - The Missouri State men's and women's swimming & diving teams each earned a weekly award following their performances at the 20th House of Champions Invitational hosted by IU Indianapolis last weekend. Fifth-year swimmer Samantha Roemer won MVC Women's Swimmer of the Week, while Gonzalo Ruiz won MVC Men's Freshman of the Week, the league announced Wednesday morning.

INDIANAPOLIS - The Missouri State men's and women's swimming & diving teams each finished second at the 20th House of Champions Invitational which concluded Saturday night. The women (1,256.5 points) finished each day behind Marshall (1,417.5 points). After leading on Friday, the men's team (1315.5 points) fell just short to host IU Indianapolis (1341.5 points).

INDIANAPOLIS - The Missouri State men's swimming & diving team took the lead on the second day of the 20th House of Champions Invitational Friday, overtaking host IU Indianapolis going into the final day of the meet with 890.5 points.
