ST. LOUIS - Missouri State swimming & diving had 14 student-athletes named to this season's Missouri Valley Conference Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete team, the league announced Friday morning.

Luigi Maciel da Silva was named MVC Men's Swimmer of the Week while Carter Crook was named the MVC Freshman of the Week. Women’s Swim & Dive Defeats McKendree to Open 2025

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri State women's swimming & diving split its tri-dual meet against Missouri and McKendree to open the 2025 portion of the season. The women's team defeated McKendree, 204-87, while dropping its contest with Mizzou, 232-67. The men's team dropped both its head-to-head battles with a loss to last year's Division II fourth-place finishing Bearcats, 191-102, and last year's Division I 27th-place Tigers, 228-66.

Bears Swimming & Diving Opens 2025 with Tri-Meet at Missouri

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State swimming & diving will ring in the 2025 portion of its season with two days of competition against host Mizzou and McKendree on Friday, Jan. 17 and Saturday, Jan. 18 at Mizzou Aquatic Center in Columbia. Friday's meet will consist of exhibition events and will not be scored. Saturday's meet will be an official tri-dual with each team putting up a distinctive score against their two opponents.

The women (1,256.5 points) finished each day behind Marshall (1,417.5 points). After leading on Friday, the men's team (1315.5 points) fell just short to host IU Indianapolis (1341.5 points).

Beach Bears Season Ends in Nailbiter With UAB at CUSA Tournament

YOUNGSVILLE, La. - Missouri State beach volleyball (18-10) had its eighth season as a program come to an end Friday afternoon on the second day of the Conference USA Tournament at Sugar Beach. MoState battled in a highly contested match against UAB in what was a rematch when the two teams squared off in Birmingham 14 days ago. Like in that match two weeks ago, the Blazers took the win in walk-off fashion to clinch a 3-2 victory.

Steele, Cleary Break Pair Wins Record, Bears Defeat Houston Christian

FORT WORTH, Texas - Missouri State beach volleyball (17-8) ended its regular season with a bang at the Fight in the Fort Tournament on Saturday. After taking a loss to Louisiana Monroe early in the day, the Bears finished on a high note with a 3-1 victory over Houston Christian. MacKenzie Steele and Amanda Cleary broke the program record in wins by a pair in the latter match, securing their 36th as a tandem.

Bach, Cleary Make CUSA All-Academic Team; 19 Bears Earn Commissioner’s Academic Nods

DALLAS - Missouri State beach volleyball players Becca Bach and Amanda Cleary were each named to the 2025 Conference USA Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team, the conference announced on Friday. League commissioner Judy MacLeod also announced the 2024-25 CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll and Academic Medal recipients. A total of 19 Bears enrolled at Missouri State in the last academic year made the honor roll, with 10 of those student-athletes also earning the academic medal.

Beach Volleyball Hosts OKWU Tuesday; SBU and Park Saturday for Senior Day

SPRINGFIELD - Missouri State beach volleyball (11-3) returns home for a trio of matches throughout the week. The Bears will start the week with one match on Tuesday at noon against Oklahoma Wesleyan. The Beach Bears will celebrate Senior Day on Saturday, April 5 with a pair of matches starting with Southwest Baptist at 10 a.m. and concluding with Park University (Mo.) at 12:00 p.m. Saturday's matches will be played at Volleyball Beach Ozark due to oncoming weather.

Beach Bears Bookend Shoals Beach Bash with Wins

FLORENCE, Ala. - Missouri State beach volleyball (10-1) completed its expedited stint at the Shoals Beach Bash with a pair of wins across three matches on Friday at UNA Beach Volleyball Courts. The Bears opened the day with a quick sweep over Tusculum before suffering their first loss of the season to host North Alabama, 3-0, in a match that went to the clinching point. MoState ended the tournament on a winning note with a tight victory over Chattanooga, 3-2.
